T-Bone Walker Blues Fest Announces Ticket Sales
Organizers of the 11th Annual T-Bone Walker Blues Fest announced today that tickets for the 2016 event will go on sale through the festival website on March 1.
The festival is held June 3-4 at Maude Cobb Convention Center in Longview, Texas.
The production will feature headliners Keb' Mo', Eric Gales, and Danny Marks, plus 16 other acts during the two-day festival.
Guest artists will perform on two stages; the Maude Cobb Convention Center Stage, and the Patterson-Nissan Outdoor Stage adjacent to the convention center building.
Festival hours are 5:00 PM to Midnight on Friday for both stages. On Saturday the Convention Center doors will open at 10:00 for the Junior Showcase with the festival shows beginning at 2:00 PM. Outdoor Stage gates open at 1:00 PM with performances beginning at 2:00.
All tickets for the Maude Cobb performances are for reserved seating, in three sections, with prices varying from $25.00 to $60.00. Two-day passes are also available.
Entrance to the outdoor stage area is only $10.00 with a two-day pass priced at $16.00. Fans are encouraged to bring lawn chairs or blankets for the outdoor shows. Coolers and pets are not allowed.
Other attractions of the festival include a Custom Car and Cycle Show, T-Bone Junior Showcase Competition, Artist Guitar Workshops, and food and merchandise vendors.

Award-winning singer, songwriter, guitarist and contemporary blues artist Keb’ Mo’ released his 12th studio album, titled BLUESAmericana in 2014. Following its release, the album spent several weeks at No. 1 on the Soundscan Blues Album chart. The album garnered Keb’ Mo’ a Blues Music Award from the Blues Foundation, three 2015 Grammy nominations and multiple other achievements.
A fixture on the Toronto blues scene, Danny Marks' musical roots go back to the sixties as a founding member of Edward Bear. He has opened for and backed up artists as diverse as Led Zeppelin, Bo Diddley, Paul Butterfield, Stephen Stills, Humble Pie, Ronnie Hawkins, Rick James, and many more. His 2012 album "A Friend of the Blues" was described as "An authentic, affectionate and unhurried sounding Canadian blues album featuring an all-star cast."
Eric Gales' guitar work, firmly rooted in the gospel and blues traditions of his native Memphis, was a hit when he appeared in the 2014 festival. He returns, following another gig with the Experience Hendrix Tours, to show off his unique style of modern blues.

The festival is a production of the non-profit T-Bone Walker Blues Fest, Inc., whose mission is to showcase contemporary blues musicians and promote a strong future for 'The Blues' genre. The annual event is supported in part by a grant from the City of Longview.
